All About Doggydude

I started Doggydude in 2017 with a desire to finish my working career doing something I love doing and have a passion about. That is working with dogs. I wanted to just be a regular dog walker but after doing some Phycology training with dogs I found a passion for helping dogs understand their owners and also help owners communicate with dogs.

I have always had a way with dogs from a very early age but never understood how or why until now.

I started working part time at the age of 13 for the biggest pet shop in the North West called Mayfield kennels back in 1994. I worked on the shop floor and warehouse learning all about the dog foods they stocked both raw and dry food. I was there when they changed ownership in 1998 working full time by then. Straight from school doing 6 days a week helping customers understand the benefits of the right dog foods for different dogs and also budgets.

It was my last job where I got the nickname "Doggydude" for helping people at work.

It was there I decided at the ripe old age of 37 to do something about it and work with dogs.

Working with a Bury College I have employed a couple of lads that was on their "Find a Job course" where they struggled academically due to a variety of mental health issues but they are fantastic with the dogs and are valued assets to the business and I am proud of the young men they are becoming by working with the dogs.
